(I just typed it all up, but then the window closed, and I don't know how. Now, I have to type it again.
Sooooo hey! I went to Warped Tour on July 19th in Chicago! I went with my sister and my friend! We woke up at 6:30 AM and got stuck in traffic for 3 hours, and got the venue right at 11 AM. I was hoping to get there at 9 AM, but oh well. When we got to the venue, we were lost and we were just walking around because we didn't know what to do because it was our very first Warped Tour. But, we eventually figured out how it worked and got a schedule to find out what time the bands were playing and what stages they were playing. The first band we saw was The Summer Set. They were really good, and I love the drummer because SHE'S A GIRL DRUMMER! Yeah Jess Bowen! YOU ROCK! During the last song, which was Lightning in a Bottle, Brian told us to keep our phones in our pockets and just get crazy and jump and scream and watch! Let me just say that you'll enjoy a concert more without worrying about a phone in your hands and looking at the artists through a tiny screen. After that, we met We Are The In Crowd. We met them.
I got a selfie with Mike! He's awesome! And Rob was there, sitting at the merch tent. AND I GOT PICTURE WITH ALL OF THEM. TAY JARDINE IS MY IDOL AND I MET HER. I met Tay Jardine.
It was literally the best day ever. Then, we saw We The Kings. Their set is on my top 3 favorite sets at Warped. I was in a different part of the audience than my sister and friend, so I was by myself. But it was still fun. Jumping around while sweating and being pressed up against other fans is actually really fun! Ha! And Travis is hilarious! <3 I love him. And, as always, "Check Yes Juliet" was their last song and will always be their last song. Then, it was time to see We Are The In Crowd. WE WERE REALLY CLOSE TO THE STAGE! We almost touched Tay's hand! Their music is amazing and they're definitely one of my favorite bands, and their set was one of my top 3 favorite sets at Warped. After this, I was really hot and hungry. So we got some drinks and food. After that, my sister and friend waited at the Electric Soul Stage to get a good spot for Mayday Parade while I went to see the surprise guest, which was A Day To Remember! Yes! But, there was a lot
of people and I couldn't even see them because I'm really short. And I got stuck in the moshpit. I would've stayed because moshing, but I was pressed up against everybody, I could barely move, and I couldn't breathe that much. So, I had to leave the crowd and I couldn't see them.
But, I saw Mayday Parade, and they were amazing and I love Derek's voice so much. After that, we had to walk all the way to the other side of the venue to see Crown The Empire. My favorite part about this set was when everybody was screaming "BLOOD BLOOD BLOOD!!!" during "Johnny's Revenge." I also got stuck in the moshpit again! YAYY! Then, we had to walk back to the other side of the venue to see.......OF MICE & MEN!!!!!!! Their set was my number 1 favorite and it was a good way to end my day at Warped! The energy was amazing and the moshpit was CRAZY! I LOVE IT! I also barely took photos because my phone was dead and the camera was being slow. SO IT WAS AMAZING! But yeah! That's how my day at Warped went. To sum it all up, I would just say "sweaty bodies, 3 moshpits, and 7 amazing bands." Hopefully I get to see more next year!
